Perfect Stay for a Solo Traveler

I had a wonderfully rejuvenating stay for a week. The warm, welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home. The breakfast options were varied and delicious, especially the fresh fruit and cereals. For a good night’s sleep, I recommend bringing an eye mask to tackle the streetlight glare.

I crashed here for a night and the staff were super nice! They upgraded me to a quieter room with a nice view, which was awesome. The bed was comfy and had a fridge. Tea and coffee stuff. Just a heads up, though, it can get a bit steep walking back from town. decent place!

Clean room, comfortable bed, great free parking. Wi-Fi was spotty in my room.

Comfortable beds and a good breakfast made for a pleasant stay, but the room had a musty smell and lacked some basic amenities like a functional hairdryer. the noisy surroundings could be off-putting for light sleepers. Staff were friendly and accommodating throughout my visit.

great access to parks and stunning city landmarks

I really appreciated how clean and welcoming my room was, and I loved waking up to stunning views over Truro while being just a short walk from Victoria Gardens, a perfect spot for a stroll and relaxation.

donnington guesthouse exceeded my expectations! the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. my standard double room was clean and comfortable, perfect for a cozy stay. it's a nice walk of about 15 minutes to the town center. having a fridge and microwave in the room was super handy for breakfast from nearby shops. really enjoyed the warm welcome we received!

The room was comfy and had a nice little fridge. Clean and warm, with plenty of hot water. Loved the view of the cathedral out the window! Having a microwave was a super handy bonus, and the bed was just right. Only thing was that the water pipes were a bit noisy sometimes, but overall, I had a good stay.

Perfect for a quick stay

This place was a lifesaver when my wife was at the hospital. It’s super close, and the staff were just amazing, really helpful and friendly. The bed was comfy, and I loved the breakfast—so much to choose from! One downside was a bit of a musty smell when I walked in, but otherwise, it was all good.

The stay was pleasant as we were in town for a wedding. The room was spacious and comfortable. however, the lack of nearby plug sockets for styling hair posed a challenge, especially given my physical disability. On the bright side, the shower provided plenty of hot water, which was a plus after a long day. I appreciated the clean space and the friendly atmosphere.

I felt so relaxed in my cozy Double Room with Private Bathroom, which had an excellent shower and a full-sized fridge for snacks and drinks! The location is fantastic too—right across from a Lidl supermarket for easy grocery access. The vibe is super welcoming and homely. I truly appreciated the thoughtful touches like chocolates on my pillow!
